ATV & UTV Snow Plows — Complete Plow Systems

An ATV snow plow turns a machine you already own into a snow-clearing workhorse, and a UTV snow plow does the same job with more weight and more push behind the blade. Whether you need a snow plow for ATV work around the yard, a side by side snow plow for a Polaris Ranger or Can-Am Defender, or a complete UTV plow kit for a John Deere Gator or Kawasaki Mule, every system on this page is built around the same three pieces: the blade, the push tube, and a mount cut for your exact machine.

Choosing a Plow Blade Width and Material

Blade width is the first decision when you size a UTV snow blade, and the rule is simple — the blade has to be wider than your machine's tire track so you are not driving through the snow you just moved. Four-wheeler setups are usually 50" or 60" ATV plow blades. Side-by-sides run wider, and for most UTV owners a 72" blade is the sweet spot: wide enough to clear both wheel tracks in a single pass when the blade is angled.

Material comes next. Steel blades are the traditional choice — heavy, tough, and happy to scrape a packed gravel driveway. Poly blades weigh less, shed wet snow instead of letting it stick, run quieter, and will not rust. V-blades are the specialty tool: they punch through deep drifts and windrows that a straight blade would just ride over. If you want the long version, our UTV snow plow buying guide walks through width, angle and mounting style with pictures.

ATV Plows vs. UTV Plow Systems

The hardware is similar but not interchangeable. An ATV plow is built lighter, uses narrower blades, and typically mounts to a front or mid frame bracket on a four-wheeler — browse those separately under ATV snow plows. A UTV plow or side by side plow carries a wider, taller blade and a heavier push tube, because a side-by-side has the frame and the weight to use it. The mount is where the two genuinely differ: mounts are machine-specific by design, so a Sportsman bracket will not bolt to a Ranger. Pick the plow that matches the machine, not the other way around.

What a Complete Snow Plow Kit Includes

A complete plow system is three parts sold together. The blade does the pushing. The push tube connects blade to machine and lets the blade trip and angle. The mount is the machine-specific plate that bolts to your frame. Most owners also add a winch to raise and lower the blade, and tire chains or tracks so the machine can actually put that push to the ground.
