How a KFI Plow System Works
A KFI snow plow is not one part — it is three parts that have to be ordered together, and this is where most first-time buyers get tripped up.
- The mount — a steel plate that bolts to your machine's frame and stays there all season. This is the machine-specific piece.
- The push tube — the frame that connects the mount to the blade. It carries the load, lets the blade trip over obstacles, and sets the angle positions.
- The blade — the moldboard that actually moves snow, sized to your machine and topped with a replaceable wear bar.
Add a winch or a manual lift to raise and lower the blade and the KFI plow setup is complete. Buy the three pieces as a matched system and everything lines up; buy a blade alone and you still need a mount and push tube before you can plow anything.
The KFI Plow Lineup
KFI splits its plow program by machine class. ATV plow systems use narrower blades built for a four-wheeler's lighter frame, while UTV plow systems run wider, taller blades and a heavier push tube to suit a side-by-side. Both are offered in steel Pro-Series blades, the traditional heavy scraper, and poly blades that shed wet snow, run quieter and will not rust. Why the KFI Plow Mount Has to Match Your Machine
A KFI plow mount is not universal, and that is deliberate. Frame rails, skid plate clearance, A-arm geometry and approach angle differ from a Polaris Ranger to a Kubota RTV to a Honda Pioneer, so KFI cuts a different plate for each. Get the mount right and the blade sits square, trips properly and clears the ground when raised. Get it wrong and it either will not bolt up at all or it drags.
