Includes two 1-way remotes
This kit is 100% plug and play, there is 1 T-tap required. 1 Key switch interface, 2 ring terminals(one to the battery, and one to ground), and plug in the antenna. That is how simple the install is for adding a remote starter to your John Deere XUV is. The brain unit will mount below the dash, and the connections are all made with a few feet of that brain location (excluding the battery connection). Easily installs in under an hour, about 45 minutes for most. We provide installation instructions with video documentation (coming soon) as well.
One way, Two way, Drone……what is the difference between these kits?
Dirty Teeth Racing offers 3 types of plug and play remote start kits.
One way: The one-way kit is rated at up to 1500 feet of operating range. The “one-way” term refers to the signal from the remote. The one way remote will send out a signal to the remote start brain to initiate the remote start sequence. The one-way kits will include 2 remotes, both identical and one-way.
Two-way: the two-way kits are rated at up to 3000 feet of operating range. The “two-way” term refers to the signal being sent to the brain for activation, and then the signal being sent back to the remote to confirm a successful start (or confirm that it was NOT successful). This allows the user to remote start their vehicle without being able to see or hear the unit. If your machine is out in a barn or garage, the two-way remote will give you increased range, but also the ability to confirm status via the remote. The two-way remote will have an audible and visual confirmation on the remote. This kit includes 2 remotes, one is a two-way and one is a one-way back up remotes. The one way remote for this kit does also have up to 3000 feet of range but does not have the two-way communication feature.
Drone: this is our cell phone app controlled kit, it also includes (1) two-way remote. The Drone component will allow you to, with the use of a cell phone app, to start/stop/monitor the vehicle anywhere that there is cell phone service.

Do I have to splice any wires?
No. Dirty Teeth Racing builds these kits with vehicle-specific T-harnesses and ring terminals — you plug in, mount the brain module under the dash and connect the antenna. Most owners finish in about 30 minutes; the manufacturer rates the install at under an hour.
What is the difference between 1-way and 2-way remotes?
A 1-way remote sends the start command only. A 2-way remote also confirms back to you (LED or LCD) that the machine started, with a longer rated range — up to about 3,000 feet per Dirty Teeth Racing, versus about 1,500 feet for 1-way kits.
