How Push/Rock Hand Controls Work
Sure Grip’s recreational control uses a vertical handle mounted beside the steering wheel: push forward to brake, rock back to accelerate. Minimal hand travel means precise, low-fatigue control, and because the handle sits at the wheel you can drive with both hands on the wheel — and even apply gas and brake at the same time when crawling technical terrain. That is what makes push/rock the preferred style for off-road and leisure driving.
Anyone Can Still Drive Your Machine
Installing hand controls does not take the pedals away. The factory throttle and brake pedals stay fully functional, so family and friends can drive the machine normally. When the hand controls aren’t needed, the manual AutoLock knurled-knob lockout disengages them.
Veterans: The VA May Cover Your Hand Controls
Hand controls are a listed Automobile Adaptive Equipment (AAE) item for veterans with service-connected mobility impairments; coverage on a UTV or side-by-side is decided case-by-case. Will Sure Grip hand controls fit my UTV?

Can other people still drive the machine normally?
Yes. The pedals remain fully functional, and the AutoLock lockout lets you disengage the hand controls whenever an able-bodied driver takes the wheel.
How hard is the installation?
Competent mechanical skills are required, and some machines need minor modifications during installation. Any dealer or capable home mechanic can handle it — call us if you’d like to talk through your machine first.

Yes — most of what we sell ships free to the lower 48 states. Orders under $150 have a flat $14.99 shipping fee.
